Wheeliebox Teardrop Caravans

Wheeliebox Teardrop campers are on offer from the top end range of the market down to self build kits.

Regardless which option you choose, all our units are craftsmen-designed and built to give you everything you need to hit the road for a weekend or an extended holiday.

Every model is self-sufficient, environmentally friendly, lightweight and aerodynamic, economical on fuel and easily towed by a standard car – yet built robustly to stand up to rugged conditions.

A Wheeliebox teardrop caravan is a perfect tent-alternative and great if you don’t want to have to upgrade to a larger tow vehicle or if you have limited parking space, whether on your drive or at your destination.

Choose your kit’s stage of build

With Wheeliebox you choose which stage of build you want to purchase and we set up all required options for that package as a DIY (do it yourself) kit. In this way, you can save  a lot of money by building your own teardrop rather than buying one complete. How much of the work you do – from building from scratch to just the final finishing – is up to you, to suit your time, your skills and your budget.

All the plywood components are precision-cut on our state of the art CNC machine, so they fit together perfectly. If you can put Lego together you can build one of our kits.

Ultra-Towable

Teardrop trailers, or teardrop caravans as they are more usually called in the UK, are the smallest type of trailer in the RV world. Most teardrops are around five to seven feet in width and hardly ever more than 12 feet long, creating a small footprint. Most teardrop caravans can be towed comfortably behind a family car. The chances are whatever is sitting in your garage right now  has the power to haul a teardrop trailer.

Low Cost, Low Impact

An added benefit of their small stature is that teardrop trailers won’t cost you a lot of money or use a lot of other resources. Your vehicle won’t need to work hard to haul them so that you won’t be burning much fuel. Even the smallest of RV parking spaces will fit a teardrop trailer, meaning plenty of opportunities for ‘wild’ camping, and their small size also means that they aren’t  difficult to tow. This makes the teardrop trailer a great vehicle for your “get up and go”  philosophy.
